What is sold

A commissioned document, delivered as a PDF by email. The Record is twelve pages and a colophon. The Commission is twenty-four pages and a colophon. The Complete House is the Commission with all five annexes. Annexes may be added to any commission.

The document is computed from the birth data you supply and written to it. It is prepared and read through by hand before it is sent.

When it arrives

Within two working days of your order, and usually sooner. You will hear from us twice: once when your order is received and the birth data confirmed, and once when the document is sent.

If anything in your intake is ambiguous — a place name that resolves to several places, a time zone edge case — we will write to you rather than guess, and the clock pauses until you reply. If you need the document by a particular date, say so in the notes and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it.

The birth data is yours to get right

Everything in the document is computed from the date, the hour and the place you give us. We confirm the resolved coordinates back to you before you pay, and the order confirmation email repeats every value we hold. Please read it.

If you tell us a value was wrong before we have computed the document, there is no charge to correct it. If you tell us afterwards, we will recompute and reissue once, also at no charge. We would rather reissue than have you keep a document about somebody else.

If you do not know your birth time, we do not guess it. The document is produced without the Ascendant, the Midheaven, the houses and the natal-geography chapters, and it names what is missing. Any tier remains available. If you find the hour later, write to us and we will reissue at no charge.

The guarantee

If the Record doesn't recognise you, we'll refund it.

Read it, sit with it for a fortnight, and if the person described in it is not the person reading it, write to us within 30 days of delivery and we will return the money in full. We do not ask you to return the document and we do not ask you to justify the decision.

That is a refund for the document not being about you. It is not a refund for disagreeing with a page, and it is not a subscription you can cancel — but in practice we do not argue about which is which.

Payment

Payment is handled by Stripe on their hosted checkout. Your card details never touch our systems. Prices are in US dollars and the price you are charged is the price Stripe shows you at checkout, including any promotion code you apply there.

We do not run sales, and nothing on this site is ever discounted from a struck-through price.

What you may do with the document

It is yours. Read it, print it, have it bound, show it to your therapist, give it to whoever you like. What you may not do is resell it or pass it off as your own work for hire. The house retains copyright in the writing and in the typesetting; you have an unrestricted personal licence to the copy that is about you.

Gifts

If you buy a commission as a gift, the recipient supplies her own birth data through a private link and the document is produced within two working days of her doing so. Until she supplies it we cannot begin. If she never does, write to us and we will refund you.

What this is not

Meridian House offers these documents as a structured mirror for reflection. They are not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and they do not predict events.

The document describes conditions and dispositions. There is one chapter on timing, and it describes the footing rather than the events. Nothing in the document predicts what will happen to you, and nothing in it should be used in place of a doctor, a therapist, a lawyer or an accountant.

The legal small print

Meridian House is a trading name of Meridian House, LLC, a limited liability company formed in the State of Minnesota.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Minnesota, and any dispute arising out of them belongs to the courts of that state.
