What we hold, and for how long

What we collect

When you commission a document we collect:

• The name you want on the cover, and your email address.
• Your date of birth, your time of birth if you know it, and your place of birth.
• The coordinates that place resolves to. Place search is performed by OpenStreetMap Nominatim; the text you type in the place field is sent to them to be resolved, and nothing else about you is.
• Recorded sex at birth. This affects exactly one calculation — the direction the BaZi luck pillars run — and nothing else in the document.
• If you buy the Numbers annex, the full name given at birth. If you buy the Typology or Attachment annexes, the results you report to us.
• Anything you choose to write in the notes field.

We do not collect your card details and we never see them. We do not run advertising pixels, we do not use Google Analytics, and there are no third-party trackers on this site.

What we do with it

Your birth data is used to produce your document and to answer you if you write to us afterwards. It is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to train anything.

Payment is handled by Stripe and your card details never touch our systems. If you would like your birth data deleted from our records once your document has been delivered, write to us and we will delete it and confirm that we have. Your document is yours to keep either way.

If you bought the Typology or the Attachment annex, the results you supplied are treated exactly the same way.

How long we keep it

We keep your order and the birth data it contains indefinitely, unless you ask us to delete it. We hold it that long on purpose: so we can reissue your document if you find your birth time later or correct it if something in it was wrong.

You do not have to wait for that. Write to orders@themeridianhouse.live at any time after your document has been delivered and we will delete your birth data and confirm in writing that we have done it. We do not ask why, and deleting it does not affect your refund rights.

Who else touches it

• Netlify hosts this site and receives your intake form submission, which is forwarded to us by email.
• Stripe handles payment. Stripe receives your email address and your payment details. Stripe is never sent your birth data.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim resolves the place name you type into coordinates. It receives that text and nothing else.

That is the complete list. No one else receives any of it, and none of it is sold to anybody, ever.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to orders@themeridianhouse.live and we will do it and confirm. There is no form and no account to log into.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that affects what we do with data we already hold, we will write to the people it affects rather than quietly updating the page.
